Supernatural preps new album

Posted by Notorious_Ian on Monday, January 13 2003

New York, NY---January 13, 2003---Supernatural began his affinity with rhymes in 1981, battling local emcees in the schoolyards of his hometown Marion, Indiana. Two decades later, Supernatural's uncanny ability to spontaneously combust along with countless radio appearances (Bobbito & Stretch, Sway & Tech) and legendary freestyle battles with Craig G. and Juice have helped him etch out a very special place in hip-hop's history.  That passion still pumps through Supernatural's veins and at long last the wait is over for his debut opus with Babygrande/Koch's release of The Lost Freestyle Files on March 25, 2003.

While the measuring stick for today's emcees now revolves around Soundscans and clothing lines, in hip-hop's golden age there was a different barometer; originality, imagination and true lyrical dexterity---three areas where Supernatural has proven himself to be at the top of his profession.

Mesmerizing audiences worldwide with his off the cusp, impromptu wordplay, the verbal impressionist's debut, The Lost Freestyle Files, represents Supernatural's past, present and future; combining the best of both worlds into one convenient user friendly package.  While fans have scoured the Net in attempts to turn up clear audible copies of Supernatural's many memorable Sway & Tech Wake Up Show performances and classic battles with Craig G at the New Music Seminar ("Clash Of The Titans") and his controversial encounter with Chicago's J.U.I.C.E ("Get Ready To Rumble") these highly sought after collectors items have been combed from the archives and digitally remastered. In addition, The Lost Freestyle Files also includes six new studio cuts, including "Work It Out" f/ Jurassic 5's Charli2na, Akil and Mark 7 and Iriscience from Dilated Peoples, the DJ Rhettmatic (The Beat Junkies) produced, "Internationally Known," and the Panik (Molemen) laced "Suckaz" f/ fellow Babygrande labelmate Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks.
